knowledge the muitsai concerned are being retained on the
register.

Thus, with reference to paragraph 4 of

your despatch, the total number of registered muitsai
whose addresses are unknown was 750 on November 30th, 1933.
As explained in paragraph 2 of this despatch,
I have now replaced on the register the muitsai whom I
struck off (see the end of paragraph 2 of my despatch No.1
of 4th January, 1933.) The present position is,
therefore, that no muitsai have been struck off the register
on the ground that it was not possible to trace them.
